Roy Yoo, Founder and President
With over ten years of professional real estate experience, Roy Yoo brings a results-oriented approach to real property transactions and property management. To handle the wide array of customer needs, Roy draws on his significant experience in real estate acquisition, disposition, tenant negotiations, and property management skills. In 2014, Roy was driven to create RJ Investments in response to the growing demand for a more caring and accountable property management company that views its clients as more than just a number to its bottom line. As the face and backbone of RJ Management, Roy is proud to successfully lead his small but effective team with integrity and accountability to offer superior individualized service to his clients.
Roy was born and raised in Honolulu Hawaii. Out of high school, Roy joined the U.S. Army and served in Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. Roy served honorably and receiving the Army Commendation Medal with V Device for Combat. After being honorably discharged from the Armed Forces, Roy decided to launch a career in real estate in 2005. He became a licensed broker in 2007.
During his real estate career, Roy advised a vast number of clients, many of whom are still with him today. He has handled all aspects of property management operations, from strip malls, to apartment buildings totaling over 300 units in the greater Los Angeles area. Roy and his team have managed real estate properties in areas including: Venice Beach, Beverly Hills, Mid-town, Mid-Wilshire, Miracle Mile, Downtown Los Angeles, Glendale, Burbank, Gardena, Bell Garden, Norwalk, Cerritos, and Redondo Beach. While working full-time, Roy earned a degree in Business from California State University, Los Angeles.
Wesley Kim, Director of Operations
Prior to working for RJ, Wesley worked as a Production Management Specialist at a Manufacturing Company for 5 years and as an Insurance Underwriter for over 6 years. He joined RJ’s team in 2015 and quickly took on ever increasing roles of responsibility. Wesley has managed over 30 multi-level apartments for RJ, accounts which are comprised of hundreds of units in the greater Los Angeles area. Currently, Wesley oversees the day-to-day operations of other managers and resident managers for RJ and his commitment to customer service and client satisfaction are second to none.
Wesley was born and raised in Los Angeles County. He attended the University of California, Irvine, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in International Studies.
Edwin Hur, General Counsel
Edwin is a licensed attorney and real estate broker and serves as RJ’s General Counsel. As an attorney, Edwin has handled a wide variety of real estate related issues, from disputes involving individual owners to HOA’s, to construction defect matters and commercial leases. Edwin’s real estate broker experience includes the acquisitions and sales of multi-unit apartment buildings, shopping centers, retail stores as well as other income producing properties. Utilizing his experience in both arenas, Edwin brings a valuable set of skills to RJ and its clients. Edwin’s consistent focus is to provide efficient and effective legal solutions to the myriad issues that may arise during the course of business.
Edwin grew up in Washington State. He graduated from Vassar College with a B.A. in Asian Studies and attended Loyola Law School where he earned his J.D.
